Factores genéticos en la nefropatía por IgA

En él se comparan 930 pacientes con 768 controles y no se ha encontrado relación entre los polimorfismos de la uteroglobina y el desarrollo o progresión de la IgAN (20).

Conclusiones

En los últimos años se han producido grandes avances en la determinación de los factores genéticos que influyen en el desarrollo de nefropatía por IgA. No obstante, no todos los pacientes con IgA primaria responden a alguna de los genotipos aquí descritos ni todos los individuos con alguno de estos genes desarrollan la enfermedad. Son necesarios más estudios para poder alcanzar conclusiones más precisas.
