Conclusiones de la presentación del CASO:

Valorando que solo el 1% de todos los partos son gemelares, que pertenecen al 10% de todos los partos prematuros. Comparado con los partos únicos, de los cuáles 8 de cada 1000 mueren en el primer mes de vida, los gemelos son 7 veces más propensos a morir y los trillizos son 20 veces más propensos a morir, por ello encontramos que nuestro trabajo a pesar de los problemas y complicaciones vividas por los gemelos resulta importante reflejar el empeño y dedicación con que se laboró por el colectivo del servicio de Neonatología del Hospital Central Universitario de Libreville en Gabón.

  • Los dos pretérminos gemelares se lograron recuperar de la Septicemia y luego se mantuvieron en el servicio hasta la Edad Gestacional Corregida de 40 semanas y 4 días egresando con 74 días. Peso de 1860 gramos y 1858 gramos respectivamente.
