CONCLUSIONES

En resumen, la incidencia de ETVA en el subgrupo de enfermos ingresados en UCI por causa médica fue elevada. Estos pacientes acumulaban numerosos factores de riesgo de ETV y fueron ingresados por patologías con un contingente específico de enfermedad tromboembólica venosa (ETV) también muy elevado. La forma de presentación más habitual de ETVA fue la TVPA aislada,  de aparición temprana y localización proximal y única. Y las principales causas de tromboprofilaxis farmacológica subóptima fueron las consideraciones de riesgo hemorrágico y/o insuficiencia renal.
